Texas Instruments LP876242-Q1 Four 8.8MHz Buck Converters

Texas Instruments LP876242-Q1 Four 8.8MHz Buck Converters meet the power management requirements of processors and platforms in various safety-relevant automotive and industrial applications. The LP876242-Q1 offers four step-down DC/DC converter cores, generating four 1-phase outputs. The I2C-compatible serial interface or SPI controls the device settings. The switching clock is forced to PWM mode, and the phases are interleaved. The switching is synchronized to an external clock, and to minimize disturbances spread spectrum mode can be activated.

The TI LP876242-Q1 buck converters include protection and diagnostic mechanisms such as register and interface CRC, short-circuit protection, thermal monitoring, and shutdown. The LP876242-Q1 can notify the processor of these events through the interrupt handler, enabling the processor to take action in response.
