Texas Instruments bq79606EVM-897 Evaluation Module

Texas Instruments bq79606EVM-897 Evaluation Module is designed to quickly and easily demonstrate the bq79606A-Q1. The bq79606A-Q1 is a SafeTI™ precision monitor with an integrated hardware protector for automotive battery packs. The bq79606A-Q provides simultaneous, high-accuracy channel measurements for three to six battery cells. The bq79606EVM-897 uses the daisy chain communication port to stack up to 51 devices, supporting the large stack configurations found in battery packs for electrified automotive drive trains.

The system features include fast cell balancing, independent protection circuitry, diagnostics, and module-to-controller communication. The Texas Instruments bq79606-Q1 allows simultaneous measurement of the battery voltages using a Delta Sigma converter per cell input, offering an accurate snapshot of the voltage of the cells.
