Go Fanless with the ADLINK MXE-5400 Embedded Computer Available from Mouser Electronics

August 27, 2014 - Mouser Electronics, Inc. is now stocking is ADLINK Technology's new Matrix MXE‑5400 series of rugged designed quad-core fanless computers, featuring the latest 4^th generation Intel® Core™ i7‑4700EQ processor. This new computer delivers outstanding processor performance with minimum power consumption and does not require a cooling fan.

The new ADLINK Matrix MXE-5400 fanless computers, available from Mouser Electronics, combines superior processing performance with hardware and software security and product manageability. Developers can choose between an Intel® Core™ i3 2.4GHz processor, an Intel Core i7 2.4GHz processor, or an Intel Core i5 2.7GHz processor. Video support is available for up to three independent displays with one DVI-I port and two DisplayPorts. Up to 16GBytes of SDRAM is supported. The MXE-400 comes with extensive networking support including four Gigabit Ethernet ports, six USB 3.0 ports, and four RS-232 serial ports. Two PCIe mini card slots are available for expansion. Two onboard SATA‑III interfaces support two 2.5inch hard drives with RAID support.

Leveraging ADLINK's proprietary mechanical engineering techniques, the MXE-5400 series continues to offer all the popular features of previous Matrix E (MXE) series computers, including cable-free construction, wide operating temperature ranges, and 5Grms vibration resistance. The entire ADLINK Matrix line undergoes rigorous physical and electrical testing to insure rugged operation.

Operating system choices include Microsoft® Windows® 7 and Windows XP. Embedded XP and Embedded 7 is also supported.
