Nexperia NXF6505A/B-Q100 Transformer Drivers

Nexperia NXF6505A/B-Q100 Transformer Driver offers a specialized push-pull design for isolated power supplies in small form factors. The NXF6501-Q100 drive features low-profile, center-tapped transformers that operate from a 2.25V to 5.5V DC power supply, facilitating ultra-low noise and EMI through slew rate control and Spread Spectrum Clocking (SSC).

The NXF6505A/B-Q100 incorporates internal protection features, including current limiting, undervoltage lockout, thermal shutdown, and break-before-make circuitry, ensuring the device maintains safe operating limits. Additionally, the device comprises a soft-start feature that prevents high inrush current during power-up with large load capacitors.

The NXF6505A/B-Q100 is assembled using an oscillator and a gate drive circuit that delivers complementary output signals to drive ground-referenced N-channel power switches. These two complementary 1.2A power-MOSFET switches can provide more than 6W of power. The Nexperia NXF6505A/B-Q100 440kHz internal oscillator is for applications that need higher efficiency and smaller transformers. The NXF6501-Q100 is housed in a small 6-pin SOT8061-1 package and is characterized for operation within a -55°C to +125°C temperature range.

The NXF6505A/B-Q100 has been qualified to the Automotive Electronics Council (AEC) standard Q100 (Grade 1) and is ideal for use in automotive applications.
