Murata Electronics GGM Water-Repellent Chip MLCCs

Murata Electronics GGM Water-Repellent Chip Multilayer Ceramic Capacitors (MLCCs) are designed for automotive powertrain/safety equipment. The water-repellent treatment film acts to delay the formation of water droplets on the surface of the capacitor due to condensation. The characteristics of this treatment film also make it difficult for the metal of the external electrodes (terminations) to leach into the droplets of water. Murata GGM MLCCs can be used for safety devices, such as the drive system control for engine control units (ECUs), airbags, and anti-lock braking systems (ABS).
