Microchip Technology MPLAB XPress Development Board provides a full-featured development environment for MPLAB Xpress Cloud-based IDE. MPLAB XPress offers plug-and-play functionality and a simplified IDE. A library of Microchip-validated code examples is available to help users get started on a wide range of projects. The board is pre-loaded with the 28-pin PIC16F18855 8-bit Microcontroller (MCU). It also incorporates the latest version of the MPLAB Code Configurator dynamic code generator tool. Pre-wired LEDs, pushbutton switch, and potentiometer enable quick prototyping. Breakout headers provide access to the MCU pins for easy expansion. Using the myMicrochip login, users can design and compile code in the Cloud.

Hardware Features

Processor - PIC16F18855 8-bit MCU offers 56KB of Flash memory and a 10-bit ADC with Computation (ADC2) for automated signal analysis.

Code generator - Users can download MPLAB Code Configurator dynamic code generator tool for free. The MPLAB Code Configurator is a dynamic code generator that enables users to automatically generate initialization and application C code for 8-bit Microcontrollers using a graphical interface and pin map. Users can easily insert this code into projects.

USB - Connects to the user's PC (cable included). USB mass storage programming eliminates the need for additional hardware and custom drivers.

MikroElektronika Click header - On-board MikroElektronika Click header supports over 100 add-on boards.
LEDs, pushbutton switch, and potentiometer - Pre-wired LEDs, pushbutton switch, and potentiometer enable quick prototyping.
