Microchip Technology MCP3913 Evaluation Board (ADM00522)

Microchip Technology MCP3913 Evaluation Board (ADM00522) is a demonstration and development platform for the MCP3913 6-Channel Analog Front End (AFE). The MCP3913 combines six simultaneous sampling delta-sigma (ΔΣ) Analog-to-Digital Converters (ADC) and six Programmable Gain Amplifiers (PGA) in a single device. The MCP3913 also integrates a phase delay compensation block, a low-drift internal voltage reference, digital offset and gain error calibration registers, and a high-speed 20MHz SPI compatible serial interface.

The Microchip Technology MCP3913 Evaluation Board also provides a development platform for 16-bit PIC® microcontroller-based applications. The system comes with a programmed PIC24FJ256GA110 Plug-in Module (PIM) that communicates with the Hi-Resolution ADC Utility software for data exchange and ADC setup via a USB connection to the board.

Features

  • Six-channel ADC MCP3913 output display using serial communication to the PC software interface
  • Simultaneous 57ksps at OSR32 address loop ALL or 95dB SINAD at OSR512 performance on MCP3913
  • System and ADC performance analysis through graphical PC software showing noise histogram, frequency domain (FFT), time domain scope plot, and statistical numerical analysis
  • Robust hardware design with analog grounding and analog/digital separation, allowing low noise evaluation of the MCP3913 device; includes separate power supplies and power planes on a 4-layer board
  • PICtail™ Plus connectors for Explorer 16 daughter board compatibility
  • Key components
