The silicone lens has a lifespan of up to 25,000 hours. The LED is housed in a compact, ceramic-based SMD package. Vishay VLMU1610 UV LED is free of heavy metals and offers increased reliability with high shock resistance and immunity to degradation from frequent on/off switching.
