Sensors

Vishay offers a wide variety of sensors for applications across an expansive range of industries, including automotive, industrial, medical, and more. Sensors are devices used to measure temperature, position, distance, and proximity, and respond to light sources. In addition to automotive, industrial, and medical applications, Vishay Sensors are used for computing, consumer, telecommunications, military, and aerospace.

PTS Series Platinum SMD Temperature Sensors

Vishay / Beyschlag PTS Series Platinum SMD Temperature Sensors feature IEC 60751 and IEC 60068 standardized characteristics. The PTS temperature sensors provide short reaction times down to t0.9 ≤2s (in the air) and support lead-free soldering. The sensors offer a 3850ppm/K temperature coefficient from 0°C to +100°C. A homogeneous film of platinum is deposited on a high-grade (AI2O3) ceramic substrate and conditioned to achieve the correct temperature coefficient and stability. The sensor elements also have a protective coating designed for electrical, mechanical, and climatic protection. Typical applications include aviation electronics, industrial electronics, and medical electronics.
