EV173A-S-00A Evaluation Board

Monolithic Power Systems (MPS) EV173A-S-00A Evaluation Board is designed to demonstrate the capabilities of MP173A, a primary-side constant voltage regulator that provides accurate constant voltage (CV) regulation without an optocoupler. The device supports buck, buck-boost, boost, and flyback topologies. The EV173A-S-00A board is designed as a buck application, featuring a typical 3W output with a 12V/250mA load from 85V_AC to 265V_AC input. The board offers excellent efficiency and meets IEC 61000-4-5 surge immunity and EN 55022-conducted EMI requirements. More importantly, the radiation performance has improved compared to the MP173. The MPS MP173A features various protections, including thermal shutdown (TSD), V_CC undervoltage lockout (UVLO), overload (OLP), short circuit (SCP), and open loop.
