Thingy:91™ Multi-Sensor Prototyping Platform

Nordic Semiconductor Thingy:91™ Multi-Sensor Prototyping Platform is ideal for kickstarting a cellular Internet of Things proof-of-concept without building custom hardware. The Thingy:91 is built around the nRF9160 System-in-Package (SiP) with a dedicated LTE modem that enables LTE-M, NB-IoT, and GNSS connectivity. It incorporates a fully programmable Arm® Cortex®-M33 application processor with dedicated flash and RAM solely for the application. This feature enables complete flexibility to program the application processor as needed. The nRF52840 SoC is a board controller and provides BLUETOOTH® Low Energy connectivity.

nRF9160 Development Kit

Nordic Semiconductor nRF9160 Development Kit (DK) is an excellent choice for cellular loT development with LTE-M, NB-loT, and GNSS functionality. The kit uses the nRF9160 System-in-Package (SiP). It has a programmable integrated Arm® Cortex®-M33 CPU with Arm TrustZone and Arm CryptoCell security features, so no external host is needed to run your applications. The DK is hardware compatible with the Arduino Uno Revision 3 standard, making it easy to use compatible 3rd-party shields. The DK enables access to all I/O and interfaces via external connectors and has 4 LEDs, 2 buttons, and 2 user-programmable switches.
