L9958 H-Bridge DC-Motor Drivers

STMicroelectronics L9958 H-bridge DC-motor drivers are SPI-controlled devices designed for the control of DC and stepper motors in safety-critical applications and under extreme environmental conditions. STMicroelectronics L9958 H-Bridge DC-motor drivers are protected against over temperature and short circuits. And they have an under-voltage lockout for all the supply voltages V_S and V_DD and for overvoltage on V_DD. All malfunctions cause the output stages to go tristate. The L9958 features a programmable current regulation peak threshold by SPI up to 8.6A typical. The operating battery supply voltage of these STMicroelectronics motor drivers is 4.0V to 28V while the operating V_DD supply voltage is 4.5V to 5.5V. These H-bridge drivers are available in three power packages: PowerSO-20, PowerSO-16, and PowerSSO-24.
