Vishay Semiconductors VEMD5525FX02 PIN Photodiode Ambient Light Sensors are high-performance devices designed for automotive and industrial applications. With AEC-Q102 qualification, the Vishay VEMD5525FX02 sensors feature an analog output with a peak sensitivity at 530nm, closely matching the spectral response of the human eye. A large 7.5mm2 sensitive area ensures accurate light detection, while insensitivity to infrared wavelengths prevents signal corruption from non-visible light sources. With a reverse light current of 0.11µA at 100lux and an ultra-low reverse dark current of 0.2nA, VEMD5525FX02 delivers precise ambient light measurements across a wide -40°C to +110°C operating temperature range. Housed in a compact 5.0mm x 4.0mm x 0.9mm package, these sensors are ideal for applications such as display backlight controls, exterior/interior lighting systems, and head-up displays (HUD), offering reliable performance in demanding environments.
