EPCOS / TDK Power Inductors have a variety of features and benefits, including a temperature range of up to +150°C, high rated current, low DC resistance, a ferrite core construction, suitability for lead-free reflow soldering, AEC-Q200 qualification, RoHS compliance, wide inductance value range, and more. These power inductors are utilized in many applications, including multimedia, automotive electronics, industrial electronics, consumer electronics, DC/DC converters, telecommunications, and more.

VLS-EX-D Automotive Inductor

TDK VLS-EX-D Automotive Inductor is engineered for use in automotive power supply circuits and supports temperatures of up to 150°C. This magnetic shield-type wound inductor offers superior DC superposition characteristics with high rated current by using TDK’s metallic magnetic material for magnetic shielding function. The module is suitable for high-density mounting and achieves high reliability via a wire connection structure in which the wires and terminals are welded. TDK VLS-EX-D Automotive Inductor provides 4.7µH ±20% inductance, 100kHz measuring frequency, 0.040Ω ±20% DC resistance, and 3.3A maximum rated current. Ideal applications include power over coax (PoC), advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS), headlights, airbags, electronic control units (ECUs), and electric power steering (EPS).

Inductors

TDK's unique multilayer processing technology provides higher inductance and Q characteristics as well as further miniaturization. TDK VLS Inductors are magnetic shield-type wound devices for power circuits. This low-profile product lineup features maximum heights ranging from 0.8mm to 4.5mm, allowing for different usages. These inductors feature high magnetic shield construction and are compatible with high-density mounting. The VLS-E series is designed for smartphones, tablet terminals, HDDs, SSDs, DVCs, DSCs, mobile display panels, portable game devices, and compact power supply modules. The VLS-E-CA inductors are specially designed for car navigation, car stereo, and car accessory applications. VLS-CX, VLS-EX, and VLS-EX-H inductors achieve larger current and lower Rdc by optimizing the ferrite core figure. VLS-HBX-1 Inductors use a metallic magnetic material and achieve larger current through the metallic magnetic material.
